My dad bought me this Scar V2 as an early birthday present. I'm happy with it stock, but I've done a little upgrade.
So it came with a see-through scope with an adjustable laser pointer, which acted as a kind of red dot sight. It also had a cool vertical grip with a button activated bi-pod hidden inside, but as the bi-pod was constantly popping out, I just gave it to my brother for his M14. The stock is extendable, and the iron sight works fairly well. So I decided to add on a hop-up and an oversized green O-ring.

Below is a picture of the O-ring (far right) and hop-up (top left), and as an added bonus my dad gave me his holo that he wasn't using, and my brother gave me his laser pointer and torch for the side rails.

I dismantled the SCAR, first by removing the stock, which also happens to fold inwards.
Next I removed the magazine retainer pin.
Then I took all the screws out of the body of the gun and split it in two.

Because my memory is terrible, I took a photo of the wiring and such so I could remember how to put it all back together.
I put all my screws and bits and pieces into a container so I didn't lose them.
Then I removed the muzzle assembly on the front of the gun.

Next I took a photo of the gearbox so I could remember how that went together.
Then I removed the motor from the gearbox.
Then I took the spring out.

Then I took the cover off of the gearbox mechanism.
Next I took a photo of the gears and that mechanism, so I could put it back together later.
I then removed the barrel and tee piece.

Here I took a photo of the return spring to remember how it went back in.
Got the plunger separated so I could get to the O-ring.
Then swapped the old black one for the green one mentioned before.

Then using some of dad's grease, I lubed up the O-ring.
Slid the plunger back into the cylinder.
Then put the cylinder back in with the gears in the gearbox.

Then I put the cover back on the gearbox, sorting the wires as I went.
Then I placed the switch cover in place, first at the top.
Then snapped the bottom into place.

Then I put the motor back in with the gearbox.
Stuck the spring back in behind the cylinder.
Then I put the whole lot back into the cover.

Then I screwed the other half of the cover back on.
I put the magazine retainer pin back in and stuck the holo on top of the re-assembled SCAR.
Then I stuck the laser on the side rail.

Now I stick the torch attachment on the other side rail.
Put the hop-up on.
And here it is, fully reassembled and ready to dial in the hopup.
